wonderful new work by Michael Slack

Michael Slack • Conundrum #2, 2013

I am totally in love with these new pieces by Michael Slack. They are all part of his current show Bulbous Conundrum at Rotofugi Gallery in Chicago. I've been an admirer of Michael's work for years now but this work just make me smile. The laser-cut pieces are probably my favorites. I love the unique shape of each piece combined with the color, energy and geometric nature of them. With all kinds of shapes and colors interacting with one another and a random eye and mouth thrown in here n' there, they are wonderfully quirky. What are they?! It's up to you to decide. :)

Holy cow I love them all. It's hard to pick a fave! Michael also has a series of prints that have been infused onto aluminum. These are also really fun. I love the limey green in this first one.
