Fragmented Fave: Laura Plansker

Wow. I absolutely love the work of Laura Plansker. I first read about Laura's work on illustrationmundo, where her work was recently featured. Looking at Laura's dioramas, I am instantly taken back to grade school when we made dioramas out of shoeboxes. There's something magical about transforming a shoebox and creating a little world inside it. Laura's dioramas are filled with life and magic and it's fun to look at them and imagine what the story might be. I love all the detail in them. The characters, backgrounds and lighting are exquisite - it's almost as if they could come to life at any moment.
