If I lived in Chicago, I'd definitely attend the opening of
Travis Lampe's show at
Rotofugi so I could meet the guy who creates this interestingly wonderful, bizarre work. I first saw Travis's work while looking through a magazine one afternoon. His artwork jumped off the page and immediately caught my attention. I just love his crazy characters. They have sort of this cool old-timey-early-cartoony feel, while simultaneously feeling really different, wonderfully strange and slightly creepy. Such a great combo!
Fantasy Cryland: New Works by Travis Lampe opens at Rotofugi Gallery In Chicago Friday, December 7. Artist reception is from 7-10. Exhibit continues through December 29.
